A decent turnout of 50 odd MTB orienteers turned up for the final MTB event of the year, an interesting spin on the event was the combination of both Fountains Valley and Groenkloof Nature reserve, A map exchange after navigating the newly mapped fountains section, with competitors then heading into the reserve for the next 13 controls. Although not extremely technical it did prove to be a very close competition for some of the minor placings. An impressive victory in the long course by Brian Gardener 1:01 followed by Tommy Booth in 2nd 10 minutes behind.
