2010 started with a bang with 2 events staged in the 1st weekend, although these events did not form part of the years log points they were hotly contested, 2 international orienteering teams use Dullstroom and the surrounding areas as part of their training for the upcoming O' season in Europe, although most of the training they do is organised by themselves, this year ROC planner Pieter Mulder planned some sprint courses around the town of Dullstroom, he was not around to actually put on the event however so the pairing of ROC's Sarah Pope and WITSOC's Alex Pope were able to step in and did a great job with little manpower. This event was preceded by and event held at the SA Champs venue hosted by RACO.

Both events were dominated by the visiting teams, however some of our locals are getting over the festive season nicely and are gearing up to a good season in 2010.
